Destiny 2's new Shadowkeep expansion is full of new features, but some of the best are more subtle. Among these quieter changes is the addition of matchmaking to certain Cala la Notte

The Cala la Notte are the end-game Assaults and therefore the most difficult of Destiny 2. Often some of the most powerful prizes of the game are stuck right behind their completion. Until the launch of Shadowkeep, the Cala la Notte required a full team of three players to be able to finish them (unless you enjoyed making a difficult challenge in an even more difficult way and participating with only one or two players).

The launch of Shadowkeep has however updated the Cala la Notte. Now they are called Nightfall: The Ordeal (or for those who play in Italian “Cala la Notte: Il Calvario”) and include four difficulty modes. The two lowest difficulties both include matchmaking. These Night the Low difficulty: the Assaults of Calvary have a requirement of Light of 750, the lowest possible light to participate in any event in Shadowkeep, and 920 for the upper one. They also have fewer modifiers than higher assaults and don't actually increase progress towards the powerful weekly reward. But you can still use them to complete everything you need to unlock, from gifts to the missions you want.

The only exception to this are missions that require a certain score usually 100. 000. Since there are fewer modifiers in the Cala of the Night of lower difficulty, you will also get lower scores from these. This means that the simplest and most consistent way to reach the 100. 000 will be with a coordinated team in one of the most difficult difficulties of Nightfall: The Ordeal

The two most difficult versions of Nightfall: The Ordeal, which are recommended to us with the light levels of 950 is 980, for now they will remain without matchmaking. This means that players who want an additional challenge will still have to find teammates with their strength. But the addition of matchmaking to the minor difficulties of Cala La Notte should make these contents more accessible to make sure everyone is able to try them.
